MÉXICO. AFP. La actriz Carmelita González, que se hizo conocida en los años cincuenta al protagonizar películas junto a figuras de la talla de Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete y Mario Moreno "Cantinflas", falleció este viernes, informó una fuente médica.
González, de 81 años, participó en más de un centenar de películas entre las cuales la más importante fue "Dos tipos de cuidado" (1953) junto a Negrete e Infante, que por entonces se encontraban entre los ídolos más celebrados de la música en América Latina.
La actriz murió en la madrugada víctima de una fuerte neumonía que la mantuvo internada varios días en el hospital Santa Elena de la capital mexicana, informó un responsable de esa institución.
González se había mantenido activa hasta 2003 con una amplia participación en telenovelas como "Amar otra vez" y "Así son ellas".
